Typalock × CheapyEats: lock in on campus, get 50% off
Typalock and CheapyEats are launching the Study Refresher. Put in three hours of focused study at a Dalhousie Typalock space and you unlock a code for 50% off any drink on CheapyEats. The first 50 Dal students to get there claim one.

What the Study Refresher is
One code, 50% off any drink on CheapyEats. It is single-use, one per student, and it is capped at the first 50 Dalhousie students who earn it. That is not a soft cap. Once 50 codes are out, the Study Refresher is done.
How to unlock it
- 1
Tap in at Dal. Open Typalock and hold your phone to a focus tag in a Dalhousie space to start a session. Only time at Dal spaces counts towards this one.
- 2
Focus for three hours. It adds up across sessions and across days, so this is not one marathon sitting. In the app the counter reads 360 focus points, which is what three hours of focused study earns you.
- 3
Claim your code. Cross the line and the Study Refresher appears in the app. Claim it and the code is yours to spend on CheapyEats.
The details worth reading
Dalhousie students only. The Study Refresher is for students who have tapped into a Dalhousie Typalock space. Focus time earned anywhere else does not count towards it.
First 50 students. Fifty codes exist. When they have been claimed, the reward closes.
New CheapyEats users only. This is a condition CheapyEats sets on the offer and applies on their side. Typalock does not check it and never sees your CheapyEats account.
One per student, single use. The code works once, on one order. You cannot earn a second one.
Any drink on CheapyEats. Not one named item and not one named shop. The discount is on the drink.
Rolling out now. The Study Refresher is arriving in the Typalock app. Once it is live you will see it there, and the countdown from 50 starts then.
Why a drink
Three hours is a real stretch of work. Long enough that you have earned something at the end of it, short enough that a normal week of studying gets you there. The reward is built to land in that gap: close the laptop, walk out, get something cold. Focus, then refresh.
Typalock tags are going into study areas around the Dalhousie Student Union Building. Tap in at one of them and your three hours start counting.
